for over 10 years already, the german government is storing nuclear waste in the wendland region, one of the most pover regions in germany. The population has been protesting against this transports in every possible way. when trains and trucks bring more nuclear waste every year, the people invite activists from the whole of europe to help them block this so-called castor-transports. so about 10.000 protesters are walking in protest demonstrations, sitting and parking their tractors in front of the trains and sabotaging the railways. they are committing acts of civil disobedience, believing that they should rather violate the law than have their children radiated. online video castor transport - then & there.
